History & ownership

Aladdin's Castle Learning Center, Inc. opened its doors on June 28, 1993. For more than three decades, we have been part of Odessa families' daily lives — caring for infants through school-age children with consistency, warmth, and high standards.

Today the center is owned by Mrs. April C. Terrell, who continues the tradition of treating Aladdin's Castle as a true home away from home for every child who walks through our doors.

Our philosophy

We believe childhood should feel safe, joyful, and full of discovery. Our approach rests on a few simple commitments:

  • Excellence in care and academics — we hold ourselves to high standards in both nurturing and learning.
  • Whole-child growth — we support emotional, physical, and mental development together, not in isolation.
  • Parents as partners — families are essential members of our team; open communication matters every day.
  • Learning by example, exploration, and creativity — children thrive when they watch kindness modeled, try new things, and express themselves.

We want every child to feel known, valued, and ready for the next step — whether that is rolling over, saying a first word, or walking into kindergarten with confidence.

What we stand for

Families tell us they come to the Castle for experienced staff, clean facilities, affordable options, and strong communication. Those four pillars guide how we hire, how we keep our rooms ready, and how we stay in touch with you.

Hours of operation

We are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., year-round. For the best start to the day, we prefer children arrive by 10:00 a.m.

Equal opportunity & accessibility

Aladdin's Castle Learning Center accepts children of any race, religion, and ethnic origin. We are committed to serving families with fairness and respect. Our center strives to be ADA compliant so that children and families of differing abilities are welcomed and accommodated.
